January 2026 - I recently taught a 1-hour class on AI at my daughter’s school. My ambitious goals were: (i) live demos of image and video generation; (ii) incorporate all students (40) and teachers (5) into the generations. Almost everything worked out!
November 2025 - I presented a keynote at the International Conference on Extended Reality (ICXR) in Qingdao, China. It was absolutely astonishing to learn about the recent Chinese developments in the areas of AR and AI.
June 2025 - My daughter Kate really loves Minecraft! Together, we created a 1-minute animation based on only 1 input photo of her. Read which AI tools we used and why.
March 2025 - I presented a keynote at the ADOS event in Paris. This inspiring event brought together artists and technologists from the AI space. We also showed a live demo!
December 2024 - A groundbreaking generative AI video model was released. And no, it’s neither Sora nor Veo 2… As a proof-of-concept, we made an AI remake of “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly” with it.
October 2024 - Social media has recently been flooded with impressive AI videos made with closed source tools like Sora, Runway, or Kling. In this experiment, I wanted to investigate how far you can get by using only open source AI models. I believe that the results have interesting implications on the technical, as well as the philosophical level.
July 2024 - A long-time dream of mine came true! We showed a demo at one of the most challenging categories at the premiere computer graphics conference. You can watch it on YouTube.
